Clown Doctors appeal

Clown Doctors appeal

Charlie Chaplin once said ‘laughter is the tonic, the relief and surcease for pain.’ And almost 100 years later, a study conducted by the University of California proved him right. That’s why we’re committed to providing our children’s wards with Clown Doctors – with your help, they’ll be making children smile for many years to come.

With your support, we hope to provide children being treated at QMC with two Clown Doctor visits every week. The Clown Doctors are specially trained to make children and parents laugh, and their hilarious antics even come with the approval of real doctors too.

Following some observations of the Clown Doctors at work, NUH Trust were so impressed they asked us to fund Dr Tickle and Dr Giggles to keep kids in Nottingham’s hospitals smiling. That makes Nottingham one of 12 trusts in England to host these Clown Doctors.

Supporting our Clown Doctors is a great way to spread a little happiness – and for just £5 a month, you can fund a monthly Clown Doctor visit for one child. It’s really easy to give online or by Direct Debit – just visit our donations page.
