Prostate Cancer appeal

This year, 50,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and 10,000 will die from the disease. That’s why we’re helping the Urology team at the NUH Trust hire a senior researcher to help improve knowledge and treatment of the disease. We’ve already made some significant advances – you can help this great work continue by donating today.

The Nottingham Urology Centre has formed a partnership with Nottingham Trent University to find new ways to combat urological cancers. And donations to NUH Charity’s Prostate Cancer Appeal will help to fund this groundbreaking research.

Prostate, bladder, kidney, testis and penile cancers can all be effectively treated in the early stages – but it’s crucial they’re found early. Advances in diagnosis and treatments have already improved survival rates and quality of life. But there’s still much more to be done.

We’ve already raised £350,000, enabling us to purchase several pieces of the very latest high-tech equipment. But we need to raise £37,000 every year to continue to employ a full-time senior scientist. To help, you can give online or call Amy Marshall on 0115 9691169 (ext 55935) to find out more.
