Make your donation worth more with a Gift Aid Declaration – enabling us to claim tax back from the government. Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables registered charities in the United Kingdom to claim the tax back from HM Revenue and Customs on donations.
It makes a real difference to your donation and doesn't cost you a thing. In summary: If you are currently a UK taxpayer, and you complete a Gift Aid Declaration we can claim back the following:
Once you have signed your Gift Aid Declaration it is valid for all gifts in the future and for any gifts you have made to us in the six years prior to signing the Declaration.
To declare all the donations you have made in the last six years, and any you may give in the future eligible for Gift Aid, you should contact NUH Charity on 0115 962 7905 or email charity@nuh.nhs.uk
You can make a Gift Aid Declaration in respect of one or all donations made to Nottingham University Hospitals Charity in the past six years, and the Declaration can last indefinitely.
The Declaration will be effective as long as you pay United Kingdom income and/or capital gains tax equal to or greater than the tax paid on your donation.
Nottingham University Hospitals Charity will claim back tax at the basic rate, so if you are a higher rate taxpayer you can claim further tax relief on your Self-Assessment form.
You are able to cancel at any time after that, should your circumstances change.
You must keep the charity informed of changes in your tax status and changes of name and/or address. For further information please contact NUH Charity on 0115 962 7905 or e-mail charity@nuh.nhs.uk.
