You can have your cake and raise money too, when you hold an event for NUHC - here's how to make yours a big success

Coffee mornings and afternoon teas are wonderful ways to catch up with friends and neighbours, and they can also make fantastic fundraisers. Local schools and church halls make great venues. And by charging a small fee to enter, plus a little something for the drinks, the funds will soon add up.

Cake sales are another brilliant way to raise money. Whether it's at work, at school, in your local community centre or out on the street, marvellous muffins, sumptuous sponges, and fantastic flapjacks are guaranteed to go down a storm.

To get the most out of your event, good publicity is a must. We can send you posters and other promotional materials - all you need to do is give us a call on 0115 962 7905, or email charity@nuh.nhs.uk with your name, address and the details of your event. Before you hold a sale of any kind, make sure you ask permission from the people in charge of the venue.
