Handy hints and legal bits
Follow these simple do's and don'ts to make sure everything goes without a hitch:
Do
- Think about first aid requirements, and talk to your local Red Cross or St John's Ambulance if you'd like someone there
- Be security conscious. Bank any cash you receive as soon as you can, and make sure you're not alone if you're carrying money around
- Assess and minimise all risks to yourself and other participants, and make sure you have sufficient insurance to protect against these risks. As the event is not being organised by NUH Charity, we're unable to accept any liability for loss, damage or injury caused as a result of participation in your event
- Let us know what you're up to and let us help by providing promotional materials
Don't
- Do anything that could be dangerous or illegal
- Let children under 16 collect money on the street or in a public place
- Make collections on the street without permission from the council, police or property owners
- Send cash through the post. You can bring cash to us, send a cheque, postal order or CAF voucher (for more information visit the CAF website). Or you could use our online donation facility here.
