Trio tackle tuk tuk challenge

Presenting the cheque

When Sanjay Sharma and friends, Kel and Johnny, set out from Lands Ends to John O’Groats in a tuk tuk they didn’t expect that it would be their support vehicle holding them back! The aim of their mammoth journey was to raise greatly appreciated funds for the Oncology Department at NUH’s City Hospital campus.

Huge thanks to Karen Croule and friends whose fundraising efforts for our Burns Unit have got off to a great start.

Their pub crawl and race night have raised over £1000 in total, and the pounds seem sure to keep rolling in with their fun day coming up on Wednesday 29th August (see the Events Calendar for more details).

The competitors

In October 2008, Kerry Nunn (now 38) of Kirkby in Ashfield developed a large blood clot in her brain which required urgent action if she was to survive. Now, her friends and family have raised £3,000+ to say thank you for the treatment she received.
