Patients at our Children’s Hospital are looking forward to a well-deserved treat after NUH Charity purchased 200 tickets for them to see ‘Princess Wishes: Disney on Ice’.
The sun shone on Joan Charlett as she cooked up a storm to raise £1,000 for NUH’s Breast Institute.
Joan baked dozens of cakes to sell at the Barnstone and Langar Summer fête on 4th July, and then topped up the total by holding a barbecue for friends and family the following day.

The pupils of Fernwood School, Wollaton, have certainly got talent!
The Charity has given £1,700 to support a special day for bereaved parents whose children were treated at NUH NHS Trust. These days are held annually and have been funded by NUH Charity for a number of years. The aim of the day is to help families to come to terms with the loss of their loved one, and to help them to draw strength from meeting other families in similar situations.
NUH Charity is delighted to have been able to purchase more endoscopic equipment for the Nottingham Urology Centre. The state-of-the-art equipment, which cost £21,000, will be used to treat patients with Prostate Cancer, benign prostatic disease, and bladder cancer.
We would like to thank those who have supported our Prostate Cancer Appeal for making this purchase possible.
