This year over 60 runners took part in Nottingham’s Robin Hood Marathon to raise money for causes within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. On Thursday 22nd October an event was held at the City Hospital to thank all these runners for their commitment and generosity.
Among the runners were hospital staff, current and former patients, and friends and family of people who have been treated at the City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre. Each individual was running for a particular cause which is close to their own heart but they all had one thing in common: the desire to improve life for patients in Nottingham’s hospitals.
The event, which took place in the City Hospital’s ‘Cityside Restaurant’ included refreshments, a presentation from the Charity Director, and the presentation of medals to all participants. The evening was intended as a small gesture of thanks to all those who have worked so hard for us.
