A Mum and Dad have made a charity calendar in aid of the hospital where their two sons received life-saving treatment.
Nikki and Dale Dixon, who have four children between them, have made the calendar to raise money for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity.
The 2010 calendar features Dale, who works as a vehicle technician, and his friends, posing semi-naked in a workshop.
Nikki and Dale’s sons, five-year-old Jonah and 21-month-old Lucas, were both treated at Nottingham Children’s Hospital, at the Queen’s Medical Centre.
Jonah was hospitalised after suffering from bowel conditions and meningitis, as well as undergoing brain surgery, and Lucas has also had three operations for bowel problems.
Nikki said: “Jonah and Lucas have had all their treatment at the Queen’s Medical Centre. We wouldn’t still have them if it wasn’t for them.”
The couple, who are from Grantham, hope to sell around 200 of the calendars, with all proceeds going to NUH Charity’s Children’s Hospital Fund.
NUH Charity helps fund patient facilities, equipment, research and training at Nottingham University Hospitals’ Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital campuses
The calendars cost £8 each and are available by emailing nikki@thanksfromthekids.co.uk, or by visiting www.thanksfromthekids.co.uk.
