Run a marathon for NUH Charity!

July 6th, 2010

Would you like to get fit and help Nottingham’s hospitals at the same time? Then why not take part in the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running 2010, in aid of Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) Charity?

You could take part as an individual, with family or friends, or as part of a running club. Runners can choose from a half marathon, a full marathon or a fun run, which all take place in Nottingham on Sunday 12th September, 2010.

Entrants running in aid of NUH Charity will be provided with a free T-shirt, a fundraising pack, sponsor forms and a medal. Money raised will go to whichever part of Nottingham University Hospital’s Queen’s Medical Centre or City Hospital campus you choose.

Runners who pledge to raise more than £150 can also have their place paid for by NUH Charity.
Nottingham University Hospitals Charity exists to support the work that takes place at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) Queen’s Medical Centre and City Hospital campuses.
Donations to the Charity are used to enhance patient care at NUH by providing added extras such as specialist equipment, medical research and staff training.
Runners in last year’s marathon raised more than £27,000 for NUH Charity, with the money going towards equipment such as an electrical examination bed for diabetes patients and extra training for nursing staff at the Trent Cardiac Centre. It also paid for six members of Family Health staff to attend the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative Annual Conference.
