New machine helps save baby’s life

Anonymous donor gives £100,000

Supporting our staff

Staff at QMC’s Ward C52 can relax in comfort and style thanks to the purchase of new furniture by NUH Charity. New sofas have now been installed in the staff coffee room, creating a more pleasant area in which staff can rest during their breaks. Sofas have also been purchased for C52’s Resource Room where staff meet with patients and their families

Patients at our Children’s Hospital are looking forward to a well-deserved treat after NUH Charity purchased 200 tickets for them to see ‘Princess Wishes: Disney on Ice’.

Special day for bereaved families

The Charity has given £1,700  to support a special day for bereaved parents whose children were treated at NUH NHS Trust. These days are held annually and have been funded by NUH Charity for a number of years. The aim of the day is to help families to come to terms with the loss of their loved one, and to help them to draw strength from meeting other families in similar situations.
